Long time no 'talk' right? Well like I've said a million times, I'll say it again, my blog is on a pause (I hope just a pause) till I find a good photographer! But today it's not about fashion and outfits but something different. First I have to explain that this post is in English for 2 reasons; 1. English rules and 2. The owner of the salon/atelier I'll introduce you to speaks English and I want her to be able to read this of course.
Before we dive in, you'll need some backgroud info. My eyelashes are terrible, since I've had a minor eye surgery a few years ago, the left ones never turn out the same when I put on mascara. And please don't tell me it's the mascara cause I have some of the best ones out there (Too Faced, Dior, Lancôme, Bourjois). Though I have lots of lashes, they are really really short. And to be completely honest I was always against eyelash extensions because I thought that it's a very invasive procedure for your eyes. But I was wrong. Surprisingly.
Now, meet Yomi :)
This beautiful lady is the owner of VIONETTE BEAUTY ATELIER, a little hidden gem in Celje. She loves to bake cupcakes and she loves to do lashes. In this cute place you can get 3 things: eyelash extensions, nails and makeup. (nails and makeup is done by 2 other girls). The place itself is a bit hard to find, but if you are from Celje or near, it shouldn't be that difficult. The cuteness already begins outside:
and continues on a large scale to the inside of the salon. As you can see from the pictures, she decorated the place with some vintage elements, lots of Vogues ( <3 ), flowers, jewelry and other stuff we girls just eat up! Speaking of eating up, every Friday is cake or cupcake day, so you can actually pamper your whole body.
Now to my eyelash experience. As it is in my nature, I was quite nervous before cause I didn't know how my eyes would react and I had this feeling I would feel the lashes and had heavy eye lids. Also I didn't think I could be still for 2 hours. But my fears were all for nothing. The staying still part was not difficult at all, I just listened to nice music and did some deep thinking :D my eyes had no reaction, just when I opened them they were a bit red at first. The heavy lid thing? I don't even know I have them on! I swear! For the first 24 hours you shouldn't get them wet, no swimming or sauna or putting your head in the oven:D my biggest challenge was not to cry in the next 24h. Yes, I'm a big cry baby. But I stuck to that too! Yeeey!
She gave me the natural set of lashes and when I got to work, almost nobody noticed cause they just look so natural. The ones that did notice something different about me also all said wow they look so natural!!
After she gives you a spoolie brush so you can brush them preferably before you go to bed and when you wake up. Refills are needed in 2-3 weeks' time, depending on how many falls off.
(Full disclosure: my boyfriend loooves them, he keeps on telling me how good I look *blush*)
Oh I almost forgot, in the nails area I just stopped with gel and gelish and got my nails back to normal, so I just got an old school manicure with a sugar+lime scrub and a gorgeous Chanel Phenix nail polish.
